Celebrating York-South (Leader Heights) Superlatives: The People Who Make Us Unique

At Country Meadows of York-South, our co-workers are the heart and soul of our community, each one bringing their own unique touch to make every day a little brighter. Much like a yearbook filled with superlatives, we’ve found meaningful ways to celebrate these exceptional individuals, each a vital part of our story. Through their laughter, kindness and warmth, they create an environment that’s welcoming, joyful and genuinely feels like home. Meet our York-South superlative winners, Russ, Mandy, Lori and more, to see how they bring warmth, laughter and special talents to make Country Meadows a place like no other.

Russ

Russ

Winning “Most Likely to Tell the Funniest Jokes” might just be a polite way of saying his dad jokes are legendary – but Russ is taking it as a compliment either way. As the Senior Campus Executive Director at our York-South (Leader Heights) campus, he finds the greatest reward in making a senior’s day a little better – sometimes through leadership, sometimes through laughter. One unforgettable moment was when a resident gifted him a hand-painted picture of a waterfall, symbolizing the calm and support he brings to the campus. Outside of work, Russ enjoys sports and coaching his kids, finding that the teamwork and lessons learned on the field carry over into everyday life.

Amanda

Amanda

Whether she’s traveling, getting lost in a good book or spending quality time with family and friends, Amanda finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. That same spirit shines through in her role as Director of Nursing at our York-South campus, where she forms meaningful relationships with residents, their loved ones and co-workers every day. Amanda was voted “Most Likely to Make You Feel at Home,” and it’s easy to see why – she leads with heart, compassion and an unwavering commitment to support others through every phase of life. One of her favorite memories? Bringing a casino experience to a resident on hospice, complete with a real slot machine in her room, to fulfill a final wish.

Becky

Becky W.

Becky believes she won “Most Likely to Make Everyone Feel Special” this superlative because creating meaningful connections is at the heart of everything she does. As the Pathways Manager at our York-South (Leader Heights) campus, she fosters a community rooted in compassion, support and respect – for both residents and co-workers alike. One of her favorite memories was leading a group of residents and staff in a joyful Sing for a Cure competition, where weeks of practice turned into an unforgettable performance for a powerful cause. Outside of work, Becky is a former marathon runner who still enjoys staying active, cooking delicious meals and supporting local arts through live performances. Her energy and heart make every day brighter.

Becky

Becky R.

One of Becky R.’s favorite moments at work was being asked to step out of the business office to help host happy hour. Sharing laughs and good conversation with residents during their social hour reminded her just how much connection matters – and it turned into a day she’ll never forget. She believes that’s exactly why she was nominated “Most Likely to Brighten Your Day.” As Business Office Manager II, she always makes it a point to check in with others, listen with care, and spread a little cheer. Outside of work, Becky enjoys family time, hiking, playing disc golf and planning her next adventure to Disney World.

Cory

Cory

There’s a reason the “Most Likely to Give the Best Hugs” superlative went to the guy known for his Sulley-from-Monsters-Inc-style embraces. At the York-South campus, laughter and connection go hand-in-hand, and that’s exactly the kind of atmosphere Cory helps cultivate as the Assistant Director of Nursing. He’s not just a leader-he’s a creative spark behind memorable events like the wildly successful Triple Crown race, which featured handmade props, enthusiastic family volunteers and lots of resident smiles. Outside of work, he channels his passion into cooking global cuisines, a hobby sparked by late-night inspiration from Anthony Bourdain. Whether in the kitchen or on campus, Cory brings people together – with humor, heart, and yes, the best hugs around.

Diana

Diana

It’s probably no surprise she was voted “Most Likely to Be the Life of the Party” – after all, she’s known for her big energy, bigger smile and love for bringing people together. As part of the activities team at our York-South (Leader Heights) campus, Diana is passionate about spreading joy through laughter, creativity and memorable experiences. Whether she’s dressing up for Halloween or hosting a mystery play, she brings the fun and keeps spirits high. Outside of work, she enjoys arranging flowers and cherishing the beauty in both blooms and the people around her.

Lori

Lori

Relaxing by the pool on a hot summer day is one of her favorite ways to recharge. At home, raising two teenage boys alongside her devoted husband has brought countless joyful moments, and she’s learned the importance of connection and care in all areas of life. As the Employment Specialist at our York-South (Leader Heights) campus, Lori thrives on getting to know co-workers and building meaningful relationships. She was named “Most Likely to Know Everyone’s Name,” and it’s no surprise – her warmth and intentionality make everyone feel seen and valued from the start.

Mandy

Mandy

With his happy tail and even happier heart, Brigadier – the beloved dog of our Executive Director – is a frequent visitor who spreads joy to residents and co-workers alike. It’s no surprise Mandy earned the title “Most Likely to Bring Your Furry Friend to Work,” since Brigadier is practically a four-legged team member. Mandy finds the greatest fulfillment in building meaningful relationships with residents and supporting families during their journey. Whether she’s hiking, running or exploring new places with her family (dogs included!), Mandy brings the same energy and compassion to work every day. Her love for celebrating co-workers during DINO Week and teaching validation speaks volumes about the heart she brings to the York-South campus.
