Short-term Rehabilitation in the Greater Lehigh Valley for All Ages
Our Nursing & Rehabilitation Center located in Bethlehem, PA provides in-house therapies within 24 hours of admission and up to six days week, two hours a day (Monday-Saturday). We support recovering individuals of all ages and long-term care residents with chronic or special needs. As an alternative to hospital-based rehabilitation care, our short-term rehabilitation program serves conditions such as knee or hip replacements and post-traumatic injuries.
Discharge planning meetings are held by the staff on a routine basis. In reviewing the plan of care and discharge needs, we work to determine what is truly important to the patient, family and caregivers. This allows us to minimize the patient’s length of stay. Even though we enjoy the company of those we serve, we realize that the best healing happens in the home environment.
Our rehabilitation specialists (provided by our partner Powerback Rehabilitation*) work with our patients and residents to develop increased levels of strength, mobility and independence in an onsite private therapy gym. Based on physicians’ orders, we design a custom plan to help them achieve their goals.

Therapies include:
- Physical therapy to stabilize or strengthen physical challenges. Treatment may include but is not limited to therapeutic exercise, gait training and balance training as well as ultrasound, manual traction, electrical stimulation and paraffin baths.
- Occupational therapy to encourage patients and residents to reach their highest level of independence. Services can include assistance with daily living activities, stroke rehabilitation, cooking group, wheelchair positioning and splinting.
- Standardized testing as part of the evaluation process with reassessments completed throughout the progression of the therapy program.
- Specially trained nurses who coordinate care and instruct our patients and residents on medications, self-care and other activities.
- Case management to assure that our patients return home with appropriate equipment and home services.
