Celebrating Hershey Superlatives: The People Who Make Us Unique

At Country Meadows of Hershey, our co-workers are the heart and soul of our community, each one bringing their own unique touch to make every day a little brighter. Much like a yearbook filled with superlatives, we’ve found meaningful ways to celebrate these exceptional individuals, each a vital part of our story. Through their laughter, kindness and warmth, they create an environment that’s welcoming, joyful and genuinely feels like home. Meet our Hershey superlative winners, Julie, Matt, Dana and more, to see how they bring warmth, laughter and special talents to make Country Meadows a place like no other.

Amy

Amy

Amy has a knack for making every moment special, which is why she was voted “Most Likely to Make Everyone Feel Special.” As the Connections Club Coordinator at Country Meadows of Hershey, she’s the mastermind behind laughter-filled activities, unforgettable moments, and the kind of fun that turns an ordinary day into something magical. Need proof? Just ask the residents who found themselves in an all-out (but friendly!) snowball fight in the Rose Room — because when Amy’s around, even fake snowballs become a ticket to pure joy!

She finds the most fulfillment in seeing residents smile, laugh and connect with one another. And when she’s not busy spreading happiness at work, you’ll find her spending time with family and friends or getting lost in her latest painting project. Whether through a brushstroke or a burst of laughter, Amy makes the world a brighter, more welcoming place — one special moment at a time.

Cody

Cody

Cody keeps things running smoothly at Country Meadows of Hershey, but he’s also the one keeping everyone laughing! Voted “Most Likely to Have the Funniest Jokes,” he’s got a quick wit and perfect timing, making even the busiest days a little brighter. Whether it’s a well-timed one-liner or a spontaneous joke when no one expects it, Cody knows that laughter is just as important as hard work.

One of his favorite moments? The legendary pie-in-the-face fundraiser, where residents got to turn co-workers into a whipped cream masterpiece — all in the name of fun and a good cause. Outside of work, Cody’s passion for helping others doesn’t stop. As a volunteer firefighter, he carries on his family’s legacy of service, proving that whether it’s through a joke or a heroic act, he’s always ready to make a difference.

Dana

Dana

If there’s one thing Dana loves, it’s a good game — whether she’s cheering on the Hershey Bears or the Philadelphia Eagles. But what makes her game-day conversations even better? Sharing them with residents who are just as passionate. As “Most Likely to Be a Resident’s Best Friend,” Dana’s not just a friendly face — she’s someone who truly connects with the people around her.

Every day, she’s there to brighten spirits, lend a hand, and make sure residents feel valued. One resident even tells her daily, “You’re my favorite person—I don’t know what we’d do without you.” Moments like these remind Dana why she loves what she does. Whether it’s making residents laugh or helping them with daily tasks, she’s always ready to be there for them — just like a true best friend.

Eugene

Eugene

If there’s music, laughter, or a lively crowd, chances are Eugene is right in the middle of it. When he’s not DJing weddings, cutting hair, or volunteering at his church, he’s bringing that same energy to work — making every day a little brighter. As “Most Likely to Be the Life of the Party,” he’s all about keeping the atmosphere fun, whether he’s leading a fitness class or sharing a laugh with co-workers and residents.

As a Fitness Director, Eugene’s goal goes beyond exercise — he’s here to uplift and inspire. One of his proudest moments was setting a goal to get 40 participants in a class, and watching residents rally together to make it happen. From fitness to friendships, he’s always ready to make a difference — one smile (or dance move) at a time.

Pastor Jim

Pastor Jim

Pastor Jim knows that feeling at home is more than just a place — it’s about the people who make you feel welcome, supported, and valued. Whether he’s lending an ear, sharing a laugh, or offering words of wisdom, he ensures that everyone around him — residents and co-workers alike — has a safe and comforting space. It’s no surprise he was voted “Most Likely to Make You Feel at Home.”

As Managing Chaplain at Country Meadows of Hershey, he’s been part of countless special moments, but one that stands out was helping two co-workers recreate their wedding so residents could experience their big day. When he’s not providing support and connection on campus, you can find him cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies (through every high and low) or getting his hands dirty in the garden, nurturing new life — both in the soil and in the hearts of those around him.

Matt

Matt

If there’s one person who knows everyone at Country Meadows, it’s Matt — he’s even dubbed himself the #1 knower of names on campus! Whether he’s greeting residents and co-workers by name or stopping to chat, he makes sure everyone feels recognized and valued. As Director of Maintenance, he keeps things running smoothly, but his job is more than just fixing things—it’s about making life easier for everyone around him.

One particularly memorable moment? Putting his problem-solving skills to the test by grabbing a fire extinguisher and springing into action when a dryer caught fire — keeping everyone safe in the process! When he’s not busy keeping the campus in top shape, Matt enjoys playing music, fishing, golfing, and is even taking up archery. No matter where he is, he’s always up for learning something new and making connections along the way.

Julie

Julie

Julie’s office at Country Meadows isn’t just a place for meetings — it’s also a favorite hangout for Sully, her energetic English Shepherd, and his fan club of residents and co-workers. Winning Most Likely to Bring My Furry Friend to Work was no surprise, as Sully has become a beloved part of the campus, bringing smiles and companionship wherever he goes.

As the Director of Dynamic Living, Julie is all about creating moments of joy, whether it’s a lively holiday party filled with laughter or an afternoon spent connecting with residents. Seeing friendships form and happiness spread is what makes her job so fulfilling. Outside of work, she trades in dog treats for baking ingredients, running a hobby baking business she started as a teenager. Whether she’s whipping up sweet treats or planning engaging activities, Julie knows how to make life a little brighter for everyone around her.

Sam

Sam

When Sam isn’t leading the charge at Country Meadows, you might find her lost in a good book, exploring an old bookstore, or dancing to the rhythm of salsa music. Her love for adventure and connection translates seamlessly into her role as Campus Executive Director, where she ensures that every resident and co-worker feels supported and valued.

Voted Most Likely to Brighten Your Day, Sam takes pride in fostering a culture where people feel like they have a “soft place to land.” Whether it’s through a kind word, a listening ear, or stepping in to provide hands-on care, she believes in leading with heart. For Sam, the most memorable moments aren’t about big events — they’re about the everyday impact of making someone feel seen, heard, and cared for.
