Country Meadows Retirement Communities is honored to be selected as one of the “Best Places to Work in PA” for 2015. This occasion marks the 12th time that we have been awarded the designation.
Country Meadows and its affiliate organization, Ecumenical Retirement Community, are the only Pennsylvania retirement communities in the commonwealth to receive the honor in 2015. Country Meadows is recognized among “large-sized” businesses and Ecumenical in the “small/medium-sized” category.
“We value our co-workers and I am grateful that our co-workers value their workplace,” says Michael Leader, president and CEO. “I am delighted, yet humbled, to be part of this list. This tribute belongs to our co-workers who are, in my opinion, some of the best in our profession.”
Best Places to Work in PA recognizes 100 companies around the state, with 26 large-sized (250-plus employees) and 74 small/medium-sized (25-250 employees) firms listed this year. Created in 2000, Best Places to Work in PA is a public/private partnership of Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry and Central Penn Business Journal.
Country Meadows’ ranking of 20th in its category is based on our workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, and on surveys with our staff about their work experience here.
In addition, our retirement community in Frederick, Maryland has also been recognized as a Best Place to Work in Frederick County, Maryland.
Positions with purpose
At Country Meadows, we believe that “every role counts” and seek employees who want positions with purpose. Once they are hired, we impress upon them how they contribute to our residents’ well-being, which in turn supports our organization’s success. We find that workers who embrace our mission are happier on the job, resulting in happier residents, as well.
Our staff’s daily interactions make tremendous differences in the lives of residents in our retirement homes, whether living in a personal care home or an independent living community. By providing valued service every day, our employees make senior living a better experience for each of our residents.
When choosing a retirement home, be sure to visit the senior living communities that interest you and ask about their employee satisfaction. We welcome you to visit our retirement communities in Pennsylvania and talk to our employees about the important role they play. Please contact us to request information or to schedule a visit.
