In our Connections Memory Support Services neighborhood, our co-workers get to know the residents as people. By learning their Life Story, we learn about their family, career, passions and hobbies. For many, being a parent or pet owner were the most important roles they had in their life. In the Nurture Therapy program, activities that involve caregiving are beneficial to some residents who are seeking connection to their purpose. As a result, the resident experiences satisfaction when they are providing “care” to something at a time in their life when they may require more support themselves.
