Resident throws out first pitch to kick off softball season

On a gorgeous, sunny afternoon, Country Meadows of Hershey residents stepped up to the plate to help the Hershey Girls’ Softball League kick off their season.

Resident Bob Correll threw out the first pitch and recalled days past when he played softball in the very same park for his employer, Amp.

The Hershey campus’ Colonnades Chorus, comprised of Independent Living residents, sang the national anthem.

To make opening day even more special, Country Meadows worked with the League to honor all “grands” in attendance with a “gran” slam seat cushion.
