Walking for fun and a cure

Country Meadows Retirement Communities’ residents and co-workers are heroes for Alzheimer’s research. The organization has enjoyed a long partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association.

Every fall, each of our campuses participates in their respective local Walk to End Alzheimer’s®. Leading up to the walks, campuses hold a variety of fundraising events all year long from bake sales to craft shows and special auctions to raise even more money.

The Alzheimer’s Association has announced that once again, walks will be in-person this year, observing safety measures to protect everyone’s health. Walks to End Alzheimer’s in Country Meadows’ service areas include:

Sept. 25, 2021: Lehigh Valley-Walk to End Alzheimer’s
8 am to 3 pm
ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, Bethlehem, Pa.

Oct. 10, 2021: Harrisburg-Walk to End Alzheimer’s
10 am-Registration. Walk begins at 11 am.
City Island, Harrisburg, Pa.

Oct. 9, 2021: Washington, Pa.-Walk to End Alzheimer’s
8 am-Registration. Walk begins at 9:30 am.
Wild Things Park, Washington, Pa.

Oct. 10, 2012: Frederick, Md.-Walk to End Alzheimer’s
11 am-Gates open. Walk begins at 12:15 pm.
Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium, Frederick, Md.

Oct. 16, 2021: Pittsburgh-Walk to End Alzheimer’s
8 am-Registration. Walk begins at 10 am.
Highmark Stadium, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Oct. 16, 2021: Berks County-Walk to End Alzheimer’s
8 am to 3 pm,
Berks County Heritage Center, Reading, Pa.

Oct. 23, 2021: York-Walk to End Alzheimer’s
10 am-Registration. Walk begins at 11 am.
