Country Meadows of Forks in Easton opens its doors this week to the first residents. As Independent Living residents arrive, they are greeted with champagne, hot lavender towels and other surprises.
“I’ve been wanting to do this for years,” says new resident Dorothy Eck, as she smiles at her husband enjoying a mimosa cocktail.
Residents enjoy meeting new neighbors, taking in the beautiful common areas and the community’s design while they learn their way around campus. Another new resident gushes, “Whoever designed this place gets an A plus!”
As residents enter their apartments, they are surprised with flowers and welcome baskets filled with celebratory items.
Independent Living residents will continue to move in over the next few weeks, with Assisted Living residents expected to arrive in August.
