Hershey, Pa. (April 28, 2025) – Country Meadows Retirement Communities has been named among the Best Senior Living establishments in the country for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report. All of the Country Meadows communities located in Pennsylvania and Maryland, including the sister not-for-profit organization, Ecumenical Retirement Community, received accolades in one or more service categories. To identify the “best” rankings, U.S. News & World Report analyzed resident and family surveys from more than 3,800 senior living communities nationwide to identify the 1,900 communities that are excelling in areas of resident care and experience.
“We are grateful our communities are a home where residents feel safe, valued and supported,” said Meredith Mills, President and CEO of Country Meadows. “We are among the few companies that were evaluated to have 100% of our communities recognized as ‘Best.’ This is meaningful because we hear directly from our customers’ experiences as they acknowledge our compassionate co-workers, vibrant community and quality care that resident and their families deserve.”
U.S. News & World Report has been evaluating the Best Senior Living category since 2022, but this is only the second year that Country Meadows and Ecumenical participated in the national survey to be eligible for consideration. Both years, all campuses received commendations. Recognition is awarded in three categories: Best Independent Living, Best Assisted Living and Best Memory Care.
New for 2025, a High Performing distinction was awarded to communities who scored in the top 25% nationwide and received a high score overall. Six Country Meadows campuses received High Performing accolades for the service areas of care services, food and dining, activities and enrichment, staff management and feels like home.
