Hershey, Pa. (Nov. 22, 2024) – Country Meadows of Bethlehem Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was named as Best Nursing Home by U.S. News and World Report for the quality short-term rehabilitation services. This is the eighth year the Center has received the “High Performance” rating for short-term rehab, meaning it provides the highest quality of post-acute care for patients recovering from a hospital stay. U.S. News started recognizing short-term facilities in 2018, and Country Meadows has achieved the title each year.
In awarding this status for 2025, U.S. News evaluated nearly 15,000 skilled-nursing facilities, reviewed patient outcomes, staffing ratios, health inspections and other benchmarks for quality. Country Meadows Nursing Center ranked among the elite 19% of skilled-nursing facilities to earn the High Performing rating.

Many of the patient outcomes evaluated exceed the state and national averages, such as:
- 55.7% of residents were able to return home after being discharged (compared to 48.1% in Pennsylvania and 50.4% nationally)
- 12 minutes of physical therapist staffing per resident per day (compared to five minutes in PA and four minutes nationally)
- 9.4% of residents needed to go to an ER during their stay (compared to 9.8% in PA and 11.9% nationally)
