Support and Education On Specific Conditions

Alzheimer’s Association – The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care and support and the largest private, nonprofit funder of Alzheimer’s research.

Lewy Body Association – The Lewy Body Dementia Association website helps many people successfully find information, resources and most importantly, connections with others affected by LBD.

Parkinson’s Disease Foundation – The Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF) supports people with Parkinson’s, their families and caregivers through educational programs, support services and by funding scientific research.

The Association for Frontotemporal Dementias – The Association for Frontotemporal Dementias (Pick’s Disease, progressive aphasia, etc.) is the leading organization for accurate information, compassion and hope when lives are touched by frontotemporal dementias.

American Stroke Association – The American Stroke Association website is committed to providing, information and support for individuals living with strokes as well as helping prevent future strokes.

National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Strokes – A National Institute of health website designed to provide information and research updates on neurological disorders and strokes.

Validation Training Institute, Inc. – Validation® Training Institute, Inc. is an educational resource for learnign about the Validation® Method.

Mayo Clinic – Mayo Clinic is a not-for-profit medical practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of virtually every type of complex illness. The site has a wealth of information on Alzheimer’s disease and caregiving.

PSU Hershey Memory and Cognitive Disorders Clinic – A neurology team specializing in diagnosing and treating a variety of neurologic diseases (conditions of the brain, spinal cord or nerves)

Family Caregiver Alliance – The Family Caregiver Alliance is a public voice for caregivers. Their pioneering programs of information, education, services, research, and advocacy, support and sustain the important work of families nationwide caring for loved ones.

The Einstein Aging Study – The Einstein Aging Study is a famous longitudinal aging study ongoing since 1980 that has focused on brain changes in healthy and Alzheimer affected brains.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Learning Center – This blog provides further resources about Alzheimer’s Disease ranging from risk factors, symptoms, tests and treatment options to prevention, latest research and living with the disease as a caregiver or as the person affected.

AlzForum – A news and information resource dedicated to helping researchers accelerate discovery and advance development of diagnostics and treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.

Alzheimer’s Reading Room – A searchable database with more than 5,000 articles written to answer questions and provide solutions to the problems that caregivers face in Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
