Country Meadows Retirement Communities and its non-profit sister, Ecumenical Retirement Community, have been certified as Great Places to Work by the Great Place to Work Institute©. The certification process considered surveys completed by all co-workers at Country Meadows’ 11 campuses and Ecumenical Retirement Community, and evaluated more than 60 elements of co-workers’ experiences on the job.
Here are some of the comments made by co-workers about what makes Country Meadows a Great Place to Work:
“This is an environment of civility and fairness that allows co-workers to feel comfortable and secure in the workplace.”
“They are willing to train and further my education, allowing me to do what I love. It is a fantastic opportunity!”
“The residents make this job the most rewarding thing I could be doing!”
“I like that you are able to grow with the company. You can set goals for yourself and reach them with the help of your team.”
“Working for a family-run organization has huge benefits. They really care about their employees, properties and have a vested interest in being a wonderful place to both work and live. It truly has been an honor and a privilege to work for Country Meadows.”
“This company has made it possible for me to experience multiple job opportunities, from housekeeping, to dietary, to PCA, to medication associate. They also provided me with a scholarship to be able to complete an LPN program and join the Nursing team.”
“This is the first place I have worked where they care so deeply, not just with the co-workers, but with the residents as well. I have worked for a few different senior companies and this is the first one where I go home with a smile on my face and a positive attitude.”
“The fact that this company works so diligently to promote from within speaks volumes about their desire to see their co-workers grow and develop.”
“Country Meadows is family-owned and –operated, so it’s easy to see that the values the company uses to build its vision and mission are heartfelt and genuine.”
“Family environment from staff to residents is truly the key in making this place great. Although we are coming to work and earning income, it goes far beyond that, and this is our home away from home. Most of us come to work because we WANT to be here, and not just because there are bills to pay.”
“This honor is very special to us because it was awarded based on how our co-workers feel about working at Country Meadows,” says President and CEO Michael Leader. “We recognize that it’s the efforts of every one of our co-workers that make all the difference in serving our residents with meaning. We’ve done a lot of work to offer co-workers purpose and lead our company with innovation.”
