Hershey, Pa. (Dec. 15, 2025) – For the ninth year in a row, Country Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has been named as Best Nursing Home by U.S. News and World Report. The “High Performance” rating recognizes both levels of care—short-term rehab and long-term care—as elite among skilled-nursing facilities nationwide. The distinction acknowledges the quality of post-acute care for patients recovering from a hospital stay and the experience for patients who are no longer able to live independently.
In evaluating facilities for 2026, U.S. News assess quality measures and data from nearly 15,000 nursing homes. They look at staffing levels, medical outcomes and resident satisfaction, as well as appropriate vaccination and medication management.

Many of the Country Meadows’ outcomes evaluated in the U.S. News report exceed state and national averages, such as:
- 8% of short-term residents were able to return home after being discharged (compared to 48% in Pennsylvania and 50.5% nationally)
- 12 minutes of physical therapist staffing per resident per day (compared to 5 minutes in Pennsylvania and 4 minutes nationally)
- 59 minutes of registered nurse staffing per resident per day (compared to 46 minutes in Pennsylvania and 39 minutes nationally)
According to the U.S. News website, these rankings and performance metrics are indicators of quality care and attention to resident safety, both attributes that set facilities apart.
