*Our Position on the Pending Assisted Living Licensure in Pennsylvania

January 2012: The State of Pennsylvania has proposed a new Assisted Living Licensure (AL), bringing significant change in the continuum of care for seniors. Country Meadows Retirement Communities' nine Pennsylvania campuses are now licensed as Personal Care communities. This new category does not adversely affect or change our Personal Care license status in any way.

We are assessing the proposed healthcare services and related cost implications involved in the new AL licensure and will only participate if it ultimately benefits the quality care of our residents, they, their families and our co-workers expect us to deliver.

NOTE: Our Fredrick, Maryland community will continue to operate under the Maryland Assisted Living Licensure, delivering high quality of care and services.
