What’s the difference between skilled & personal care?

Country Meadows offers assisted living/personal care at 10 campuses in Pennsylvania and Maryland, in addition to our Nursing & Rehabilitation Center serving the Greater Lehigh Valley. We recognize the differences between the care can be confusing as the support is quite distinct.

A skilled nursing center provides 24-hour nursing care for either short-term rehabilitation or long-term support. Country Meadows offers an individualized plan designed to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our residents. For those who need it, occupational, physical and speech therapies are available, as well as therapeutic diets and activities focused on wellness.

An assisted living or personal care community offers private and semi-private apartment-style rooms with help in activities of daily living. From assistance with dressing and medication management to memory care (if needed), our residents in this level of care enjoy programs customized to provide the support they need.

If you have any questions, please let our team know, and we will be happy and ready to help.
