Couples Welcome at Country Meadows

Couples Welcome

We invite couples to continue to live as vibrantly as they choose. And they’re welcome to do so together, no matter their individual health needs. We value the peace of mind of keeping couples together— it’s their home, after all. We work to meet their needs while spouses continue to live in the same apartment. Here’s some perspective from several residents and family members:

“Living at Country Meadows is like going on a vacation. There are many activity choices, practically no responsibilities, and we feel as far from the unpleasantries from the outside world—nothing will be the same as ‘home,’ but it isn’t either when we go away on an extended vacation.”
~ Husband of a Resident Couple

“My mother has dementia and my father does not. They have been married for 63 years and wanted to stay together. He had been caring for her at home. Everywhere we looked, they would take her but not him. We could not find any facility that would let them come and live together where she would get the care she needs and he would be completely independent until we found Country Meadows. There’s another couple in the same wing now in the same situation. Country Meadows works to be extremely accommodating to the needs of their residents.”
~ Daughter of a Resident Couple

“My husband and I are very content living at Country Meadows. The administrative staff is very courteous and the concerning employees attend to every resident’s needs whether large or small. We find all residents to be friendly and willing to assist making a new resident feel at home. We highly recommend Country Meadows to our friends who are looking for a home away from home.”
~ Wife of a Resident Couple

“My husband just turned 80 and I’m 77. His health has not been terrific, and while I enjoy good health, I’ve had some recent diagnoses. It was wise of us to move. We visited Country Meadows—it is a very beautiful place and we decided it was time. And when Hurricane Sandy descended upon us, we realized that we made the right decision at the right time.”
