Country Meadows Retirement Communities in Easton, Pa. (Forks Township) might be the newest campus in the Country Meadows family, but it already offers a robust Community Life curriculum. Residents enjoy daily happy hours, educational events and outings and are always exploring unique and exciting community events.

Pre K Christmas in July

We had a group of Pre K student guests over for Christmas in July! Our residents surprised them with a Hot Coco Bar, a talking Snowman, the “Grinch” movie on Netflix and an indoor snowball fight (with cotton snowballs!) All left with a Candy Cane and a little early Christmas spirit!

Bocce Tournament with Bethlehem

Residents love a little friendly competition on the bocce court. Forks won 16-13! The Bethlehem players were all great sports and everyone had a wonderful time.

Valentine's Day Dinner

Can you feel the love? With roses and live music at our special Valentine’s Day dinner, our resident love-birds certainly could!

Presidential Visit

We cannot tell a lie, residents loved having our 16th president, Abe Lincoln, pay us a visit at Forks!

Chinese New Year

Xīnnián hǎo (New Years Goodness)! Happy Chinese New Year! Our residents and coworkers celebrated the Year of the Pig with a cooking demonstration on how to make an amazing Chinese Stir fry!


Residents rocked -n- rolled with Martin Guitar learning about the legacy of the instrument and the craft of making it. Thank you, Martin Guitar, for a great event!

National Senior Health & Fitness Day

Residents took a nature walk. Walking on different terrain builds confidence, improves balance and builds cognitive strength through connecting with nature.

Practicing Random Acts of Kindness 2018

Residents prepared a meal for their local police station and enjoyed getting to know their officers!

St. Patrick's

Residents celebrated St. Patrick’s day with a potato hunt, shamrock shakes and merriment.

Winter Olympics

Residents and co-workers were all about Team USA when cheering on our athletes in the Winter Games.

Proper Handwashing

Influenza is widespread across the country. One of the best ways to protect yourself is proper handwashing techniques. Using fake germ powder and a blacklight, residents learned some tips from the pros to have clean hands and health this winter.

Governor George Leader's 100th Birthday Celebration

On Jan. 17, 2018, Country Meadows founder, Gov. George Leader, would have celebrated his 100th birthday. In his honor, residents enjoyed a talk by Gov. Leader’s granddaughter, Meredith Mills, and toasted his memory at Happy Hour with whiskey sours with a splash of bourbon. (Gov. Leader loved bourbon and his wife, Mary Jane, loved whiskey sours.) Cheers!

White House Chefs Event

Former White House chefs recently stories about serving Presidents and dignitaries, and “dished” Oval Office secrets with residents, co-workers and guests. They even held a cooking demonstration and the food was fit for a king (or queen)!

Sands Dealer Teaches Poker

Residents learn how to play poker from a professional dealer.

National Senior Health & Fitness Day

Getting or staying physically fit is very important as we age. Residents celebratied National Senior Health and Fitness Day by participating in several “action-tivities.”

Bocce Champs

Country Meadows of Forks’ own resident Bocce Ball team celebrates its championship in the Lehigh Valley Senior Bocce Ball League!

Pink Streaks

Country Meadows of Forks residents and co-workers went “pink” to raise awareness of breast cancer.


Country Meadows’ Executive Director of Spiritual Life, the Rev. Howard West, leads residents and co-workers on a birding hike through local wildlife areas. An avid birder, West pointed out different species of birds as well as their habitats.

Live Model Painting Class

Residents join artists from the Forks Area Art Society for a painting class featuring a live model. The model dressed as “Alice” from “Alice in Wonderland.”

Grand Opening

The brand new Country Meadows of Forks in Easton campus opened its doors with a grand opening July 2016. Guests enjoyed fitness demonstrations featuring the innovative techniques Country Meadows Fitness Directors use to engage with residents, demonstrations of virtual reality applications for our senior care environment as well as delicious food, cocktails and entertainment.
