Allentown NewsCountry Meadows named to Best Places to Work in PA list for eighth time
“This tribute belongs to our co-workers and they should be very proud of the culture they helped to create at Country Meadows,” says Michael Leader, president and CEO. “We are very blessed to have such an exceptional group of co-workers who are, in my opinion, some of the best in our profession.” Country Meadows will be recognized at the Best Places to Work in PA awards ceremony later this year where list rankings will be revealed. Last year Country Meadows placed at number 19 on the list and in 2009, number 14. “We value our co-workers and I am grateful and humbled that once again, Country Meadows co-workers value their workplace,” adds Leader. “We strive to support co-workers in a variety of ways including the Co-Worker Foundation that provides grants to co-workers experiencing a financial emergency. We also recognize excellence through our Best Practice and Jeff Stiver Award programs to honor exceptional service.” Best Places to Work in PA was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The Best Places to Work in PA list is made up of 100 companies split into two groups: 50 medium-sized companies (25-250 employees) and 50 large-sized companies (251 or more employees). Country Meadows has been named one of the Best Places to Work in PA in the large-sized company category. Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in PA. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Created in 2000, Best Places to Work in PA is one of the first award programs of its kind offered by a state in the country. The program is a public/private partnership of Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry and the Central Penn Business Journal. |
